On the crap that is politics

Since starting to read news magazines and papers, inspired by seeing my brother doing it, about issues concerning, among other things, the nation, poilitics etc. back in 8th grade, I have 'gone down' a long way in these 10 years; so much that 'news reading' is now has a overwhelming share of my thought processes (?) and my addiction to laziness. This was one reason, when I started this blog, I made a commitment in my mind not to talk politics in this last place I hadn't till now. Which explains the number of posts till day I have written.

I used to think it was just sheer lack of interest in all that is in the world, but over time, I have realised it was just a mask behind which was actually laziness. Now, laziness is a unique addiction, I would say, because in order to quit it, you'd need to have a determination and work through a plan out. But how at all would you work?! Laziness brings in its wake, a decline in morality, responsibility and many other things. None of a number of countless 'determinations' to get away from news have managed to stay as such for a significant amount of time. Even while rueing about the lack of responsibility and seriousness that is needed to make our nation and this world a better place to need, I realise time and again, I myself am not serious about anything at all.

Anyway, the immediate cause for writing this blog was that I was just watching this news channel CNN-IBN, streamed live over the internet when they were covering the current issue of nuclear deal with US and the survival of UPA government. The Left has, for reasons not entirely honest, withdrawn support to the government and SP again for its own gains, but with fake superficial reasons, come to support UPA govt. The way politics is played out in our nation, it seems that everybody is trying to place themselves at a higher pedestal of honesty, integrity and intentions by simply making statements that are at best fooling. Only it is not clear who they are trying to fool. A Congress leader Manish Tiwari told on CNN-IBN, “There are some regional concerns. It should not be seen as deal making. It’s give and take”. Now, if 'give and take' is not a deal, what else is?!

I realised my mind was, after all, not too lazy to think! As it were to happen, it continued to think and came up with an answer to 'who was being fooled'. I should be completing my Master Thesis and defending it less than a week from now, but have not yet turned up with a final version and a presentation. So, for now,...
